Another day, another dollar. What is it to be a ceramic artist I ask myself most days contemplating creativity, its complexity and yet its ability to give me reason to exist.

Thank the universe for giving me a fresh idea to put into the world!

This is possibly the most in depth plan that I have ever had for a piece in terms of size/scale. I have only just begun to figure out whats going on here in terms of making.

Bare bones, but its a place to start.

I also took the piece I made last week and covered it in lavender terra sig but forgot to take a photo.

I also fired my piece in the big bailey kiln ! It was kinda scary but I learned a lot and I feel pretty comfortable firing it alone next time. It was very fast as soon as I turned it to manual. You gotta learn to fire spooky kilns if you wanna make large work !

I actually got a LOT of work done during the firing process. It has been very healing to make this work. It feels like a nice balance between concept and process for me. Is it derivative ? absolutely lol. But I am hoping that in my finishing/cold surfacing I will make this form my own.
