In the meantime I have been making some baby head cups using all the old ass baby doll head molds. My favorite is the temples permission red. I made the folks tea for the wood firing.
I honestly want to not talk about the wood firing I was very upset when everyone forgot about me.
But anyway !!! I finally fired my piece in big bailey !
Here is proof of me slaying with the little (okay actually big) sculpture I made. This was before I did a shit ton of sanding which i forgot to take a picture of lol.
I did another little shadowing moment at the speed. It was a fun day to learn better practices around packing work. They were super sweet I came in to "help" move the huge Rodin sculpture, but the head prep was out sick. I stayed anyway and spent a solid 8 hour day with the art handlers. I got to watch them unbox a crate of two paintings, move some work around out of storage, pack a few paintings. It was really cool to see what a normal day might look like. and then Mike brought me donuts, I think they felt bad that I was there for free lol.
