Hi bestie, long time, no blogging. Lets try to think of what I was doing a month ago: I did a few goop glaze testers. I found these all on glazy my favorite of the testers is patrick coughlin's low fire goop glaze, which the second from the right on the bottom row the recipe can be found at: https://glazy.org/recipes/208436 I fired it to 04 instead of 03. It was my favorite because it was the glossiest and goopiest of all. Heres my problem: I am disgusting. i dont want pure white i want a nasty milky white.... you know what i am trying to replicate... so how the fuck do i make this more transparent ??? After picking my favorite i tested out using different frits, i tested out replacing frit 3134 with 3124, 3110, and 3195. I was mad because they all turned out matte i got angry and threw them all away (SORRY I DIDNT TAKE PHOTOS) and decided to not fuck with frit 3134. well maybe a little, I did try increasing it to see what would happen but it simply got meltier. I also tested out clear glazes From left to right: Batz clear, which Lalana had and let me dunk in, next is Derek's clear from UF, then I had a VERY simple recipe that Lalana told me, then I tested one i found on glazy, then Lalana let me dunk in an amaco.
I tested with a 3 second dunk and wiped the backside of the tile because im thinking of finishing my pieces with wiping some areas. Batz, Derek and Amaco are the clearest of clear, but yall know im a freak i love the milky ones best!
