I actually fully finished a piece ! I titled it Anxiously Detached. I am happy with this glaze application ! This piece I sprayed the glaze, but wiped off way more glaze than the previous two. I like the way that the work looks kinda sweaty as opposed to a glazed work. I also am happy with the amount of gloop glaze for each hole. I am not sure that the rug works for this. I have been thinking about how else I can make fabric pieces for my work to sit on that are not rugs. I am thinking about using sheets? towels? mesh? something sexy...

The second piece I finally glazed I did a thicker layer of the clear 04 glaze with 2% zircopax. I tested the amount of zircopax at 10% 8% 6% 4% and 2%, and decided I liked the 2% the most. I wiped away the glaze after spraying, but I think I did a bit too much glaze on this piece, I do not enjoy how white it ended up being. I also think I could have gone heavier on the gloop glaze. The holes are so large and I wish the white gloop filled the space more. I am however very happy with how the chain turned out. I love the tension that is created and how the middle O-ring is able to hang in mid air. I am still trying to figure out how to finish these babies. I was going to make rugs for the piece, but I am thinking that I need a different presentation... still contemplating. Finally have "finished" my first tester piece with my simple cone 04 glaze and gloop glaze. My feelings on this piece, are that I wish I had not covered the entire thing in the clear. I ended up firing this baby three times. The first time I added the clear glaze and then wiped off some areas. The second time I covered the piece in glaze because I was unhappy with the finish. But then it came out and I hated it more once it was entirely fluxed. So then for fun I added the gloop glaze in the crevasses. From these firings I learned to hold on the gloop glaze, it literally only needs a one minute hold in order for the gloop to fully gloopify.
